Transportation services for riders who meet Medicaid requirements.
Thrive Behavioral Health has partnered with Medical Transportation Management (MTM), the leading provider of non-emergency medical transportation services in Rhode Island. MTM ensures Thrive's Medicaid clients arrive to their appointments, and return to their homes, in a safe and timely manner. In 2018, Thrive provided 8,400 rides to eligible clients.
Program Eligibility
- Medicaid recipients can receive rides to appointments with Medicaid-covered health care providers if you have no other way to get there
- Non-Medicaid enrollees who qualify for the Elderly Transportation Program (ETP) can receive rides to medical services
- Participants in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program/RI Works can receive monthly bus passes to pursue employment opportunities
MTM is one of the largest and most established non-emergency medical transportation management services, scheduling more than 14 million trips for eight million members nationwide while handling eight million calls every year.
In operation for over 20 years, MTM remains a family owned and operated, privately held corporation. Additionally, it is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
