Thrive Behavioral Health Welcomes New Board Members

Martinez and Dr. Drew to bring extensive experience in business and community support, and rehabilitation services to organization’s advisory board

WARWICK, RI – November 1, 2023Thrive Behavioral Health – a leading provider of comprehensive evidence-based, personalized services to children, families, and adults who have been impacted by serious and persistent mental illness, substance use disorder, or trauma – today announced the appointment of three new members to their board of directors. Starting in November, Sharlyn Martinez, Judith Drew, PhD and Yonatan de la Cruz will join as at-large members of the organization’s advisory board.

“We’re proud to welcome Sharlyn, Yonatan, and Dr. Drew, to add to our already robust Board of Directors committed to fulfilling Thrive’s mission and vision,” said Thrive CEO, Dan Kubas-Meyer. “Their respective commitment to the underserved and marginalized communities will further elevate the themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that we do.”

Martinez, a Providence based entrepreneur, heads Sin-cere Consulting Services, LLC which provides a range of essential services to support businesses and individuals in achieving their goals including personalized business growth plans, bookkeeping services, real estate consulting, and more. She also leads Sin-cere Multiservice Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the community by offering youth empowerment and financial literacy programming to promote economic independence.

Dr. Drew joins the board of directors with more than three decades of experience in the realm of career, vocational, and education counseling in the frame of disability assessment. She’s managed her own private practice that spans across Southern New England including a nearly 18 year career as adjunct faculty and program director of the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at Salve Regina University. She holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation from The Ohio State University.

Yonatan has been a local leader in the banking industry for more than six years. He has held prominent roles with Santander Bank, Baycoast Bank.Baycoast Mortgage, and is currently brand manager with Centreville Bank in West Warwick. He is professionally active with an eye towards elevating diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and served with Hispanic and DEI related committees with his prior employers. Yonatan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance with the University of Puerto Rico.
