Housing First Model

Thrive’s Housing First team practices a client-centered approach to meet individuals where they are. We are a community-based program that follows the Housing First model which is an evidence-based practice. We work with individuals throughout the state who are currently or have been chronically homeless. Our culturally diverse, interdisciplinary team offers high-quality, individualized care in an integrated clinical and housing support model.

Kent County Housing Authority

A division of Thrive, Kent County Housing Authority owns and manages private apartment units, single-family homes, and HUD multifamily housing that qualify for subsidized housing. The program provides 75 public, mainstream housing choice vouchers for Kent County residents.

Program Eligibility for Subsidized Units 
  • Between the ages of 18-62, have a verifiable disability, and meet income guidelines
  • Hold a Housing Choice Voucher determined by the local Public Housing Agency

Application hours are Monday-Friday 9 am to 12pm at Thrive’s Post Road location.
