AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO & BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
THRIVE'S STATEMENT ON RACIAL INEQUALITY

Thrive Behavioral Health’s mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals regardless of their race, color, national origin, age, gender, religion or sexual orientation. We are aware of the adverse role that trauma plays in people’s lives and strive to help people create positive and lasting change in an environment that fosters dignity, respect, compassion and hope.

We recognize that systemic racism has had a debilitating and enduring impact on the lives of our clients, staff and community members. We condemn discrimination and racism of any kind. We also understand that a system’s results are determined by its design. Because of this, we will continue to work diligently to make the systemic changes necessary to eliminate the health inequities and social injustices that remain part of everyday life for far too many.

It is said that to remain silent in the conflict between the powerful and the powerless is to side with the powerful. Thrive’s Board of Directors, leadership and staff will not be silent and we stand with people of color and all others fighting to end discrimination and racism. Thrive Behavioral Health also calls upon our community members, the RI Federal Delegation and our State Legislators to do everything within their power to end systemic racism in our state and country.
